Senior Creative (Social)
WDT are looking for an experienced, and brilliant Senior Creative to join this fast growing, and super-friendly social agency. Are you one of those, and can you start in the next few minutes? Okay great…
You’ll be working within an exceptional creative team to deliver engaging social content and campaigns for some of the UK’s biggest and most-loved brands. Whether it’s leading E4 to become the biggest broadcaster on Facebook, executing an award-winning campaign for HSBC or creating content for some of the UK’s best-known festivals, this agency have been behind countless successful accounts and campaigns, and their client list includes brands and broadcasters such as Channel 4, Twitter, Red Bull, HSBC UK, Fox, McCain, Radio One, and Moonpig.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
You must be confident in working through complex, detailed briefs within a layered multi-agency set up. You’re a big-picture thinker but can also think granularly depending on the brief, client or task at hand. You’re able to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously. You thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’re on-point with current trends and are constantly looking at new platforms/formats and ways to innovate.
You have a clear and distinct understanding of the role of paid/organic social media and how it can cleverly play in wider campaigns/marketing or PR plans. Examples of repurposing assets and/or sponsorship work, and making them best-in-class social are welcome.
Experience and a strong interest in entertainment or film clients, and their distinct needs, would be an advantage.
Your Facebook, Twitter and Instagram game has to be particularly strong. You need to understand what works and what doesn’t across in-feed and stories and know exactly how to grab the attention of users.
Knowing your way round LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat and YouTube certainly wouldn’t hurt either. You’d have been the first of your friends to know when Instagram introduced Chat stickers or when they started testing hiding the ‘like’ counter. Basically – you live and breathe social.
You’ll need to be a wordsmith, an adept comedy writer with an eye for a great joke who’s able to think visually and across platforms. You’re also addicted to telly and have a passion and enthusiasm for the Entertainment industry. Essentially you’ll know the difference between Love Island and The Island.
You’ll have the ability to answer creative briefs, nurturing an idea from conception to birth. If you can provide evidence of a response to a client challenge or can tell us about a social media project you’ve worked on, that would be swell.
You’ll be comfortable and confident communicating concepts and talking through your ideas in a simple and efficient manner, be it to a designer or editor or a room full of clients.
You’re able to manage and mentor a team, or hub, of creatives who will report directly into you. From conception to implementation, your leadership in content production, storytelling and project management across teams is essential.
Ideally you have either worked client-side or at an agency before and won’t be afraid to get your hands dirty. Not (necessarily) literally. This agency works hard, and that shouldn’t scare you. They all muck in when busy and that makes things exciting, but also means there are no prima donnas when there’s work to be done.
